[TITLE CARD] 10 Questions with Michael Beygelman
Hi, my name is Michael Beygelman, and I'm the founder of Claro Analytics, A WilsonHCG Company.
1: How would you describe Claro Analytics in one sentence?
Claro Analytics is a tool that helps companies learn about what's going on in the labor market so that they can make more strategic decisions about talent.
2: Tea or coffee?
Both I like tea and coffee. I'm like Hekate. I have many faces and many moods.
3: Why is people analytics so important?
Companies need data to make strategic decisions about the workforce, and without having actionable real-time data, it's just really hard to do that.
4: If you had one superpower, what would it be?
My superpower of choice would probably be telekinesis, so I could move things from a distance.
5: What's your best piece of advice for emerging leaders?
My best piece of advice for budding leaders is, don't be afraid to fail. And when you do, just do it quickly and move on.
6: What's been your biggest business challenge so far?
My biggest challenge in the business is at the outset I underestimated the complexity of building a global labor market intelligence platform.
7: What's the last book you read?
I'm currently reading two books, "How to Decide" and "Thinking in Bets." I really like Annie Duke and I'm actually rereading both at the same time.
8: How important is HR tech in hiring?
In today's market, HR tech is probably a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 in the hiring process because it's fundamentally
impossible today to hire someone without using technology.
9: Any tips for managing a virtual workforce?
My top tip for managing a virtual workforce is put yourself in the place of the person you're speaking with
and start with a position of empathy.
10: Favorite meal?
My favorite meal happens to be Korean chicken. I don't know, I just love it.
Bonus question: What is the Job Seeking Sonar™ Chrome extension?
The Job Seeking Sonar Chrome extension is a tool that enables you to essentially create favorites and bookmarks for people that you find interesting in social media. And then it'll tell you when those people
become passive jobseekers. It's a free tool that you could find at the Chrome Store. And I encourage you to download it.
